Whole beans in, espresso out - with a steam wand you actually control
A bean-to-cup machine earns its place by removing every step between a bag of beans and a cup of coffee, and the BCC12 does that without hiding the craft. A stainless steel burr grinder with adjustable grind level and adjustable dose sits on top of a 19 bar pump and a Thermoblock heating system, so the water hits the grounds at pressure and at temperature within seconds of switching on. Four one-touch drinks sit on the white LED menu and four more on the orange, and the stainless steel steam nozzle is manual rather than automatic - which means you texture the milk yourself and get a flat white that looks like one. The coffee dispenser is illuminated and adjusts from 90mm to 135mm, so it clears a tall glass as easily as an espresso cup.
Built-in stainless steel burr grinder
Grinds whole beans to order with an adjustable grinding level and a customisable grinding quantity. Burrs rather than blades, which is what gives a consistent particle size and therefore a consistent extraction.
19 bar pump with Thermoblock heating
19 bar of pump pressure and a Thermoblock heater that comes up to temperature almost immediately, so the first cup is as good as the fifth.
Eight drinks across two menus
Ristretto, Espresso, Coffee and Hot Water on the white LED menu; Ristretto Light, Espresso Light, Long Coffee and the Steam function on the orange. Coffee length is adjustable on each.
Manual stainless steel steam wand
A proper steam nozzle you control yourself, with a stainless steel jug included. Automatic frothers are easier; a manual wand is how you get microfoam.
150g bean hopper and 1.4L tank
A 150g bean container and a 1.4 litre removable water tank, so you are not refilling either mid-morning.
Adjustable dispenser height
The illuminated coffee dispenser moves from 90mm to 135mm, or 185mm with the drip tray removed - enough for a travel mug.
Adjustable water hardness
Set the machine to light, medium or hard water so the descaling alarm matches your actual supply rather than a guess.
Automatic rinse and alarms
Rinses itself automatically, and warns you about descaling, a full grounds container, no coffee, an empty tank, or a brewing unit that is missing or wrongly seated.
Automatic switch-off
Powers down after 30 minutes of inactivity.
