Vlogging with a normal compact camera means guessing whether you are in frame. This one has two LCD screens - one on the back to compose and review, one on the front so you can see yourself while recording. It shoots 4K at 30 frames per second, takes stills at up to 48 megapixels of interpolated resolution from its 5 MP sensor, and runs about 90 minutes on a charge. At this price it is a first camera, a holiday camera, or the one you hand to a teenager.

Dual screens, front and back
A 2.4-inch LCD on the back for framing and playback, plus a second screen on the front so you can see yourself while filming. That is the whole point of the camera and the reason it suits vlogging and selfies.

4K video at 30fps
Records Ultra HD 4K at 30 frames per second, with 1080p and 720p options - including 720p at 60 fps for smoother motion when you do not need the resolution.

48 megapixel photos from a 5MP sensor
Stills go up to 48 megapixels, interpolated in software from the 5 MP CMOS sensor. That gives you a large file to crop into, though the true optical detail is that of a 5 MP sensor - worth knowing before you compare it to a phone.

Eight photo resolutions
Choose between 5, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 36 and 48 megapixels depending on whether you want file size or headroom to crop.

Burst mode
A burst function fires a rapid sequence of frames, which is how you actually catch a moving child or a pet rather than photographing where they just were.

Loop recording
Loop recording overwrites the oldest footage automatically, so it keeps rolling without you clearing the card mid-trip.

Around 90 minutes per charge
An 800 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery gives roughly 90 minutes of recording, and it charges over USB-C from any phone charger or power bank.

microSD up to 64GB
Takes a microSD card of up to 64 GB, saving photos as JPEG and video as MP4 or AVI. Note the card is not included.
