A heated throw that goes over you, with separate controls for each side of the bed
An overblanket sits on top of you rather than under the sheet, which means you feel the warmth immediately instead of waiting for a mattress to heat through - and you can use it on the sofa as easily as in bed. At king size it is 215 x 225cm, big enough to cover two people, with two detachable digital controls so each side sets its own temperature across six settings. It warms through in about five minutes, runs for roughly seven hours for about a penny, and shuts itself off after one, three or nine hours depending on what you set. The whole thing is machine washable and tumble-dryer safe, and it is rated for use over memory foam, which many heated blankets are not.
