The Mic Mini 2 is DJI's second-generation ultralight wireless mic, and the whole point is that you stop noticing it. Each transmitter weighs about 11 grams - roughly a two-euro coin - and clips on magnetically, so it disappears on a shirt instead of dragging the fabric down. This kit gives you two transmitters for interviews or two-person pieces, a receiver, and a charging case that takes the whole system to around 48 hours of runtime. Audio is 48kHz 24-bit with two-level active noise cancellation and automatic anti-clipping, so a sudden laugh does not blow the take, and there are three vocal tone presets if you want the voice warmed up or brightened in-camera rather than in the edit.
11 gram transmitters
Each transmitter is about 11g and 28.58 x 28.04 x 13.52mm. At that weight it clips to a collar magnetically without pulling the fabric out of shape, which is the practical difference between a mic a presenter forgets about and one they keep adjusting.
48 hours of runtime with the case
The transmitter runs about 11.5 hours and the receiver about 10.5 hours on their own, and the charging case takes the system to roughly 48 hours total. A transmitter recharges in about 70 minutes, down from 90 on the original Mic Mini.
48kHz 24-bit audio
Recording at 48kHz and 24-bit gives you real headroom to correct levels afterwards without the noise floor rising to meet you - the difference between salvaging a quiet take and re-shooting it.
Two-level active noise cancellation
Basic and Strong ANC settings, so you can knock down traffic, air conditioning or room hum at source. Being able to choose the level matters: Strong is right for a busy street and too aggressive for a quiet room.
Three vocal tone presets
Regular, Rich and Bright. Set the character of the voice as you record rather than reaching for an EQ in post - useful if you are publishing straight off the camera.
Automatic anti-clipping
Automatic limiting catches sudden peaks, so an unexpected shout or laugh does not distort and ruin an otherwise good take.
400 metre transmission range
Up to 400m with the standard receiver, or 300m with the Mic Series mobile receiver. Far more than you need in a room, and enough for a drone-to-subject or across-a-field setup.
Interchangeable magnetic covers
The front cover pops off and swaps, with Obsidian Black and Glaze White supplied as standard and ten colours in the range. A small thing, but it lets the mic blend into wardrobe rather than sitting on it as a black dot.
Works across the DJI Mic family
The Mic Mini 2 pairs with the DJI Mic 2, Mic 3 and the original Mic Mini in single-transmitter setups, and works with the existing Mic Series mobile receiver. If you already own DJI audio kit, this extends it rather than replacing it.
Two transmitters in the box
This configuration includes two transmitters and one receiver, so you can record two people on separate channels - an interview, a two-hander, or a presenter plus a guest - without buying a second kit.
