Most smartwatches ask you to charge them every night. The Watch GT 6 asks about once a fortnight. Huawei's high-silicon 867 mAh battery stretches to 21 days of light use and around 12 days of normal wear, and it does that behind a 1.47-inch AMOLED that peaks at 3,000 nits - bright enough to read in direct summer sun. Dual-band GPS, a stainless steel case and IP69 plus 5 ATM water resistance make it a serious outdoor watch rather than a notification mirror.

Up to 21 days of battery
The 867 mAh high-silicon cell runs to 21 days in light use, about 12 days in typical wear and roughly 7 days with the always-on display enabled. Charging becomes a fortnightly chore rather than a nightly one.

3,000-nit AMOLED
A 1.47-inch AMOLED at 466 x 466 (~317 ppi) peaking at 3,000 nits. That is as bright as flagship phone screens and stays perfectly readable mid-run on a bright day.

Dual-band GNSS positioning
Dual-band GPS (L1 + L5) plus BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS, GLONASS and NavIC. Dual-band is what fixes the wandering routes single-band watches produce between tall buildings or under tree cover.

Around 40 hours of GPS tracking
GPS workout tracking runs to roughly 40 hours on a charge - enough for a multi-day hike or an ultra without carrying the charger.

Full health sensor array
Optical heart rate, SpO2 blood oxygen, body temperature, barometer and compass, alongside accelerometer and gyroscope for motion and sleep tracking.

Stainless steel with a rotating crown
A stainless steel frame rather than aluminium, with a rotating crown and a side button - you can scroll and select without smearing the screen, and with gloves on.

IP69 and 5 ATM
IP69 dust and high-pressure water resistance plus 5 ATM, immersible to 50 m for 10 minutes. Swimming, showering and heavy rain are all within spec.

Calls from the wrist
A built-in microphone and speaker with Bluetooth 6.0 means you can take a call on the watch when your phone is in another room.

Works with Android and iPhone
Runs HarmonyOS 6.0 and pairs with both Android 9.0+ and iOS 13.0+ through the Huawei Health app, so it is not tied to one phone brand.

Wireless charging
10 W wireless charging on the supplied cradle - drop it on rather than lining up a connector, on the rare occasions it needs it.

NFC on board
