An ultrawide is the cheapest real upgrade you can make to a desk. The 21:9 shape gives you about 30% more horizontal space than a standard 16:9 monitor, which in a game means seeing more of the world at the edges of your vision, and in work means two full documents side by side without a second screen and its bezel down the middle. The G34WQi runs 3440 x 1440 at up to 180Hz with a 1ms MPRT response, on a 1500R curved VA panel that wraps far enough to fill your peripheral vision without distorting straight lines. Xiaomi quote 4000:1 typical contrast, which is where VA earns its keep over IPS - blacks in a dark game look black rather than grey.

21:9 ultrawide, 3440 x 1440
Roughly 30% wider field of view than a 16:9 screen of the same height. In racing and flight sims that is the difference between seeing the apex and guessing at it; in work it is two A4 documents side by side, or a timeline that does not need scrolling.

180Hz refresh rate
Up to 180Hz, ahead of the 120-165Hz typical of ultrawides at this price. Above about 120Hz the benefit is less about frame counting and more about how much easier it is to track a moving target.

1ms MPRT response with Adaptive-Sync
1ms MPRT keeps motion clean, and Adaptive-Sync with FreeSync Premium support matches the panel's refresh rate to your graphics card so tearing and stutter disappear without forcing v-sync latency on you.

1500R curve
The 1500R curvature is aggressive enough to bring the far edges of a 34 inch panel into a consistent viewing distance. On a screen this wide a flat panel puts the corners noticeably further from your eye than the centre.

Four display inputs
