A cordless fan that throws air 20 metres and adds a cooling mist when it gets serious

Most portable fans move a bit of air a short distance. The FlexBreeze HydroGo is built around a turbo motor that throws air up to 20 metres at 975 CFM, from something that weighs under two kilos and runs off its own battery. The misting system is what lifts it in genuinely hot weather: a 150ml tank throws a fine mist up to 1.2 metres into the airstream, and evaporative cooling does far more than moving warm air around. It is IPX5 rated against rain with UV-resistant materials, so it lives outside on a patio as happily as it works indoors. Runtime depends heavily on the setting - around 12 hours on speed 1, about an hour flat out.

975 CFM with a 20 metre throw
A turbo motor that moves 975 cubic feet a minute and pushes air up to 20 metres. That is the difference between cooling a person and cooling a patio.

Misting with a 150ml tank
A fine mist carried up to 1.2 metres into the airflow. Evaporative cooling drops the perceived temperature far more than air movement on its own.

Two misting modes
Consistent for continuous mist, Interval for intermittent. Consistent shuts off automatically after an hour, Interval after two.

Cordless or mains
Runs off its 1900mAh battery outdoors or plugs into the mains with the 2m cord indoors - so it is not limited to wherever there is a socket.

Runtime that depends on the setting
Around 12 hours on speed 1, 3.5 hours on speed 3 and about an hour at speed 5. With misting on, speed 1 gives about 3.5 hours. Gentle Breeze runs 7 hours.

IPX5 and UV resistant
Rated against rain and built from UV-resistant materials, so it can be left out on a patio rather than carried in every evening.

Quiet on low
Under 38 dBA at the lowest setting - quiet enough to sleep beside - rising to around 65 dBA flat out with mist.
