Most cordless vacuums give you a power button and leave the thinking to you. PowerDetect does it the other way round: four separate sensing systems read the floor type, the edges of the room, how dirty a patch is and which direction you are pushing, and adjust brush-roll speed and suction continuously. Add a cyan beam that throws dust into relief on hard floors and an anti-hair-wrap brush-roll with a pet tool, and it is built for the houses that are hardest on a vacuum.
Floor Detect
Senses whether it is on carpet or a hard floor and changes brush-roll speed and suction to suit, so you are not stopping to change a setting at every doorway.
Dirt Detect
Reads how much debris is actually coming up and boosts power over the high-traffic patches, then eases off again - which is where the battery saving comes from.
Edge Detect
Increases suction along skirting boards and into corners, the places an ordinary head drives dust into rather than lifting it out of.
Direction Detect
Picks up on both the forward and the backward stroke instead of only pulling on the pull, which roughly halves the passes needed.
Reveal Technology
A precision-angled cyan beam rakes across hard floors and throws fine dust into contrast, showing you the debris an ordinary white LED simply washes out.
Anti Hair Wrap brush-roll
A self-cleaning brush-roll strips hair off itself as it turns. In a house with long hair or a shedding dog this is the difference between a vacuum that works and one you cut free with scissors every fortnight.
FurFins pet tool
A dedicated pet tool with fins that lift embedded hair out of upholstery, sofas and car seats rather than gliding over it.
Anti-Allergen Complete Seal with HEPA
The whole airway is sealed and finished with a HEPA filter, capturing over 99.97% of dust and allergens down to 0.3 microns rather than blowing the fine stuff back into the room.
Flexology bends in the middle
The wand folds so the head slides flat under sofas and beds, and the whole machine stands folded in on itself for storage - no full-height run of wall needed.

Up to an hour of run time in Eco mode with a non-motorised tool from the removable lithium-ion battery, which recharges in about five hours.
