The PartyBox 330 is built to be carried out of the house and used properly. 280W RMS through dual 6.5 inch woofers and twin 25mm PEN dome tweeters gives it real bass and clean highs, AI Sound Boost keeps it from breaking up when you push the volume, and a lightshow moves with the beat. Eighteen hours of playtime means it outlasts the evening, and a ten minute charge buys another two hours if it does not. What sets this one apart from the usual party speaker is the practical stuff: a locking telescopic handle and wide wheels that cope with grass or sand, and a splash-proof body, so getting 17kg of speaker to the end of the garden is not a two-person job. Plug in two microphones and a guitar and it becomes a PA.

280W RMS with dual 6.5 inch woofers
Two 165mm woofers and two 25mm PEN dome tweeters, rated at 280W RMS to IEC60268 - a real measured figure rather than a peak-power headline. Frequency response runs from 40Hz, which is low enough to feel rather than just hear.

AI Sound Boost
JBL's processing watches for the distortion that normally arrives at high volume and corrects for it, so the sound stays full and balanced at the top of the dial instead of turning harsh. This is the difference between a speaker that goes loud and one that stays listenable while it does.

Adaptive lightshow
The light show reads the music and moves with it, and a refreshed top panel gives you direct access to both audio and lighting effects without going into an app.

Up to 18 hours, with hot-swappable batteries
Eighteen hours from the JBL Battery 400 (68Wh lithium-ion), and a 10 minute charge adds another two. The battery is hot-swappable, so a spare keeps the music going indefinitely - though the spare is sold separately.

Telescopic handle and wide wheels
A locking telescopic handle and wide, sturdy wheels designed to roll over grass and sand. At 17.1kg this matters more than any spec on the sheet - it is the reason the speaker actually leaves the house.

Splash-proof

Two mic inputs and a guitar input

Auracast links the 330 to other Auracast-enabled JBL speakers, so you can double or triple the coverage across a large space rather than pushing one speaker to its limit.

Bluetooth 6.0 and wired inputs
Bluetooth 6.0 plus aux, optical and USB inputs, so everything from a phone to a mixing desk connects. A USB-C output also charges your phone at 5V/1A.

JBL One app control
Set EQ, lighting and playback from the app, including a Smart EQ mode that adapts the sound to how loud you are running it.
