This is the switch you buy when you are putting cameras or access points around a building. Four of its five gigabit ports supply 802.3af/at PoE+ at up to 30 W each, sharing a 65 W budget, so devices need a network cable and nothing else. Extend Mode pushes PoE and data out to 250 metres on the first two ports, well past the usual 100 metre limit, and PoE Auto Recovery reboots anything that stops responding without you driving out to it.

Four PoE+ ports, 65W budget
Ports 1 to 4 supply 802.3af/at PoE+ at up to 30 W each from a 65 W total budget - enough for four typical IP cameras or a mix of cameras and access points.

250 metre Extend Mode
Press Extend Mode and ports 1 and 2 deliver power and data up to 250 m, two and a half times the usual Ethernet limit. That is what makes cameras at the far end of a yard or a long driveway possible without a second cabinet.

PoE Auto Recovery
The switch monitors powered devices and automatically reboots any that stop responding. A frozen camera in a loft or on a gable end fixes itself instead of needing a ladder.

Full gigabit throughput
All five ports run at 10/100/1000 Mbps with auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDIX, giving 10 Gbps of switching capacity and a 7.44 Mpps forwarding rate.

Plug and play
Unmanaged and unconfigured - there is no web interface, no VLAN setup and no password to lose. Cable it up and it works.

Silent, fanless
No fan means no noise and nothing to clog with dust, so it can live in an office, a hallway cupboard or a living room without being heard.

QoS and IGMP snooping built in
802.1p/DSCP QoS prioritises voice and video traffic automatically, and IGMP snooping stops multicast streams flooding the whole network - both useful with IP cameras.

16KB jumbo frames
Jumbo frame support up to 16 KB improves throughput for large transfers between wired devices such as a NAS and a desktop.

Metal case, desk or wall
A compact 99.8 x 98 x 25 mm housing that sits on a desk or screws to a wall, with a 2K MAC address table and store-and-forward switching.
