Apple AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case - Active Noise Cancellation, H2 Chip, Spatial Audio and IP57 | MKFT4ZM/A
Cheaper elsewhere? Our Pricematch Promise
Product Description
Active noise cancellation, 22 hours with the case, and a case that charges on an Apple Watch puck
This is the AirPods 5 to buy if you want them to do everything. Active noise cancellation is the headline - Apple reckon up to 1.5x more than the AirPods 4 with ANC - and Adaptive Audio blends cancellation and transparency on the fly so you are not switching modes every time someone speaks to you. The force sensor on the stem adds swipe volume control, which the cheaper model does not have, and the case charges three ways: USB-C, any Qi pad, or the Apple Watch charger already on your bedside table. Five hours of listening with ANC on, 22 with the case, and five minutes in the case buys another hour.
Active Noise Cancellation
Apple claim up to 1.5x more noise cancellation than the AirPods 4 with ANC. This is the feature that separates this model from the standard one.
Adaptive Audio
Blends noise cancellation and transparency automatically based on what is going on around you, rather than making you choose a mode and stick with it.
Force sensor with volume swipe
Swipe the stem to change volume. The standard AirPods 5 do not have this.
Three ways to charge the case
USB-C, any Qi-certified wireless charger, or an Apple Watch charger - so it charges on whatever is already beside your bed.
Apple H2 chip
The same silicon family as Apple's flagship earbuds, handling the noise cancellation, the spatial audio processing and the voice isolation on calls.
Personalised Spatial Audio with head tracking
Sound is placed around you and stays anchored as you turn your head, so the dialogue in a film stays with the screen rather than following your ears.
IP57 rated
Rated against dust, sweat and water - so rain on a walk or a heavy gym session is not a problem.
Conversation Awareness
Lowers the volume automatically when you start speaking to someone, instead of making you pull an earbud out.
Voice Isolation on calls
Separates your voice from the background so the person on the other end hears you rather than the street.
Live Translation
Translates a conversation in real time through the earbuds. Requires a compatible Apple Intelligence iPhone.
Find My speaker in the case
The case has its own speaker, so Find My can make it audible rather than just showing a map pin.
Bluetooth 5.3
A stable, efficient connection with low latency for video.
Head gestures
Nod or shake to answer or dismiss a call or a notification without touching anything.
