Pressure cooking is the technique that turns a two-hour stew into a thirty-minute one, and the HyperHeat is Ninja's fastest implementation of it yet - up to 70% quicker than conventional cooking. But it is the other eight functions that decide whether it lives on the worktop or in a cupboard: sear and sauté in the same pot before you pressure cook, then slow cook, steam, do rice, pasta, yoghurt, simmer, or just keep the whole thing warm until people arrive.
HyperHeat pressure cooking
Pressure cook up to 70% faster than conventional methods. A stew that wants two hours in the oven is done in well under an hour, with the meat properly broken down rather than merely hot.
Sear and sauté in the same pot
Brown the meat and soften the onions directly in the cooker before pressurising it. No separate frying pan, and none of the flavour left behind in one.
Dedicated rice function
A proper rice programme rather than a generic pressure setting - which is why this replaces a separate rice cooker rather than approximating one.
Slow cook
The opposite technique in the same machine: put it on in the morning at low temperature and come back to it, for the cuts that genuinely reward long cooking.
Steam
Steam vegetables and fish above the liquid to keep the texture and the nutrients that boiling washes away.
Yoghurt function
Holds a low, stable temperature for hours to culture yoghurt properly - a genuinely different capability rather than a rebadged keep-warm.
6 litre capacity for six people
Six litres feeds up to six, which is the difference between cooking a family meal and cooking for two with leftovers.
PFAS-free ceramic-coated pot
The removable cooking pot has an easy-clean ceramic coating made without PFAS, and it goes in the dishwasher.
