Two lenses, one camera - wide view and telephoto detail at the same time

A single-lens pan/tilt camera makes you choose between seeing the whole room and seeing detail. The C245D fits two: a 121.8-degree wide-angle lens covering the room, and a 6 mm telephoto lens for detail at distance - both recording 2K. Add ten kinds of AI detection including glass breaking, barking and a baby crying, plus a starlight sensor for low light, and it covers far more than the usual motion alert.

Two lenses working together
A 3.1 mm wide-angle lens covers 121.8 degrees diagonally for the whole room, while a 6.0 mm telephoto lens picks out detail further away. Both record at 2K, so you are not trading coverage for clarity.

Starlight sensor for low light
A 1/2.8-inch progressive scan CMOS starlight sensor gathers far more light than a standard sensor, holding usable detail in a dim room before the infrared has to cut in.

Ten kinds of AI detection
Beyond person, pet, vehicle and motion, it detects line-crossing, tampering, glass breaking, barking, a baby crying and a cat meowing - which turns it into a household monitor rather than just a camera.

Sound detection that matters
Glass-break detection is a genuine security feature, and baby-crying and pet-noise detection mean you get told about the things a camera pointed at an empty room would otherwise miss.

360-degree pan coverage
A 340-degree mechanical pan giving full 360-degree coverage plus 70 degrees of tilt, so one camera watches an entire room from a corner or a ceiling.

Two-way audio
A built-in microphone and speaker with noise cancellation let you talk to whoever is in the room - useful for pets, children and telling a delivery driver where to leave a parcel.

69dB siren
A built-in siren sounds when something is detected, enough to startle an intruder and alert anyone in the house.

Local storage up to 512GB
Records to a microSD card up to 512 GB with no subscription, or to Tapo Care cloud if you prefer offsite copies.

RTSP and ONVIF
RTSP and ONVIF Profile S support means it works with third-party NVR software and home-automation systems rather than only the Tapo app.

Activity zones
Define the parts of the frame that matter, so a busy window or a passing hallway does not generate constant alerts.
