Thick walls and long houses defeat routers, and a mesh node is useless if the signal cannot reach it in the first place. Powerline sidesteps the problem entirely by sending the network through the electrical wiring already in the walls, up to 300 metres of it. This kit puts a gigabit powerline adapter beside the router and a Wi-Fi 6 access point wherever the signal dies - and the AX1500 radio it creates there is faster than the router in most Irish homes.

Network through the mains wiring
HomePlug AV2 carries data at up to 1000 Mbps over the existing electrical circuit, reaching up to 300 metres through walls that stop Wi-Fi dead.

Wi-Fi 6 at the far end
The TL-WPA7817 creates an AX1500 Wi-Fi 6 network - 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz plus 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz - with around 25% higher throughput than the previous Wi-Fi generation.

Gigabit ethernet on both units
Each unit has a full gigabit ethernet port, so a games console, smart TV or desktop gets a proper wired connection at either end.

EasyMesh compatible
Works with EasyMesh to form one seamless network with a compatible router, so devices roam between the router and the extender without dropping the connection.

Wi-Fi Clone
One button copies your router's network name and password onto the extender, so every device connects automatically with nothing to reconfigure.

128-bit AES encryption
Powerline traffic is encrypted with 128-bit AES and paired with a button press, so data crossing the wiring is not readable elsewhere on the circuit.

Set up from your phone
The tpPLC app for iOS and Android handles setup and management, with a PC utility available if you prefer.

LED on/off
The status LEDs can be switched off entirely, which matters when the unit ends up in a bedroom or a hallway.

Works with existing HomePlug adapters
Compatible with all HomePlug AV and AV2 standard adapters, so it extends a powerline network you already own rather than replacing it.

Note - no pass-through socket
This model does not have a pass-through mains socket on the front, so it occupies the wall socket it uses. Plan for that when choosing where it goes.
